About the event
Systemic investment is key to preserving cultural and ecological biodiversity. Therefore, we are building a community of practice of investors, philanthropists, NGOs and foundations interested in exploring systemic investing for a bioregion in Brazil - in cooperation with the Yepá Mahsã (Tukano) nation from the northern Amazon. Their territory (the size of Tunisa) holds precious biodiversity, many Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities call it home and wish to protect its natural assets while engaging in economic activities such as sustainable tourism, agro-forestry etc. Both, systemic investment and cooperation with Indigenous people, take time, trust building and a long-term, holistic perspective. Its benefits are obvious: Preservation of our life giving eco-system and a shift in mindset that is long overdue. Ancestral wisdom in partnership with a wise use of time, technology and capital for the preservation and development of a pilot bioregion is our objective.
